South Platte- Deckers

July 2024: Great hopper dropper action on my last couple trips to Deckers. Hi-Vis caddis flies with trailing crane fly larva were at the top of the menu on a couple July trips to the South Platte.

Clear Creek Canyon- Mayhem Gulch Trailhead

Sunday August 25, 2024: A fun day of dry fly action using size 18 Hi Vis BWO parachutes and small Chubbies. Small browns were leaping for them.

Friday July 19, 2024: A solo trip to Cheesman on a Friday off of work saw hi-vis BWO parachutes with a trailing quill-body mole fly enticing big bows.

South Platte- Cheesman Canyon

South Platte- Secret Spot

September 2, 2024: Shagworthy hi vis BWO parachutes, quill-body mole flies, and chocolate foam emergers landed some fat trout at the secret spot along the South Platte.

Lake Odessa, RMNP

August 31, 2024: Nothing finer than native cutthroat taking tiny Shagworthy spinners at 10,000 feet up in Rocky Mountain National Park.

Ouzel Lake, RMNP

September 7, 2024: Beautiful hike to Ouzel Lake from the Wild Basin trailhead ended with feisty brookies taking Shagworthy quill-body mole flies on the drift below the lake.
